Day 1: Journey from NJP/Hasimara to Jaldapara [2 hours and 58 minutes (125.9 km) via NH 17]
Upon your arrival at NJP/NMZ Railway Station, you'll be greeted warmly and then set off for your exciting Doars Package Tour, beginning in the captivating land of Jaldapara. Jaldapara, located at the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas in Alipurduar District of Northern West Bengal, serves as the gateway to the Jaldapara National Park, nestled along the banks of the Torsa River. This picturesque place covers 216.51km of vast grassland patches and dreamy forests. Recognized as a sanctuary in 1941, it was designated to safeguard its rich flora and fauna. Today, it proudly hosts the largest population of the Indian One Horn Rhinoceros in the state.
